Trelleborg Viking Market
Just to the west of Slagelse you will find one of Denmark's most important and very beautifully situated monuments from the Viking age. Harold Bluetooth's gigantic circular fortress from around AD 900 is the most well preserved castle of the kind, and together with the museum and the many activities offered in the summer, Trelleborg is definitely worth a visit for all the family to get a good idea of what life was all about a thousand years ago. This is also the place for the annual Viking Market, where you can enjoy crafts, shows, horses and much more, and meet with vikings from far and near.
The sound of metal against metal beats, loud roar and the smell of bonfires and mead. At week 29 is the beautiful area consumed of hundreds of Vikings, acting, fighting and living as they did when Harald Bluetooth was young.
Admission fee.
